Your Child Care Subsidy is Evolving
Enjoy 3 Guaranteed
Days of Care!
At Edu Kids, we’re excited to announce upcoming changes that will make quality early learning and care more affordable and accessible for families in our community. Beginning January 2026, the Australian Government will implement important updates to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Activity Test.

How Will Your Family Gain from These Changes?
This new program makes it easier for every child to enjoy more subsidised early learning and care, no matter their parents’ level of activity. The adjustments aim to ease living costs for families and ensure every child receives the strong foundation they deserve.
Guaranteed Subsidised Care:
Starting January 2026, all families will be entitled to at least 72 hours of subsidised early education and care per fortnight — equivalent to three days per week. This marks a major step toward universal access to quality early learning.
Increased Access:
Families meeting the activity test requirements or holding valid exemptions can continue to receive up to 100 hours of subsidised care per fortnight.
Additional Support for First Nations Families:
Households with a First Nations child will also be eligible for 100 hours of subsidised care every fortnight, ensuring fair and inclusive access for all children.
